Veterans Day Program At Central Texas Veterans Memorial

The Brownwood Veterans Day program will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11 at the Central Texas Veterans Memorial. State Senator, Dr. Dawn Buckingham, will be the keynote speaker.

Navy Commander Chaplain Jim Looby will dedicate a plaque honoring Brownwood veteran Norman Chesser who survived the Battan Death March. State Representative, Dr. Glenn Rogers, will dedicate a plaque honoring Major General Earl Rudder who was instrumental in the D Day Invasion on June 6, 1944. He was a former president of Texas A&M University and was a former mayor of Brady.

Masks and social distancing are appreciated. Some chairs are available but you may want to bring a lawn chair to maintain social distancing.

2020 Holiday Trail Of Lights

The Fourth Annual Holiday Trail Of Lights at Brownwood’s Historic Greenleaf Cemetery takes place this year on December 18, 19, 20 & 21 from 6 to 8pm.
(ENTER only @ Hwy. 377 S. Gate @ Sterling Monument and EXIT only @ Old Center Street Gate.)

No Entry Fee but donations are welcomed and appreciated!
